Armaan: You want to know whom I will shoot? (Riddhima looked at armaan with a blank face. Armaan walked towards the TV and switched it on. Riddhima was shocked seeing the picture and looked at armaan, who had a wicked smile on his face). I will shoot your friends.
Riddhima looked at armaan. Her face showed she was scared hearing armaan’s words. The fear on her face was clearly visible. She was numb for few seconds. She had no idea what she should do now. She was thinking of the scene where armaan was pointing a gun at her friends. He was about to shoot them by pressing the trigger.
Riddhima (shouted): Nahiin (No)
Armaan smirked hearing riddhima’s shout. His threat worked. Now, riddhima would never think of disobeying him. He was observing her facial expressions. She had her hands on her ears and her eyes were shut. She had sweat on her forehead and her lips were quivering due to fear. She had fear of losing her friends. She did not want that, that because of her somebody else loses their life. She looked at armaan with fear visible on her face.
Armaan: I know you don’t want your friends to die because of you so, next time before disobeying me think twice. Am I clear?
Riddhima nodded her head in agreement. Riddhima was shivering seeing the gun in armaan’s hand. She stared at the gun before looking at armaan.
Armaan: So, before I decide your punishment I need to clear few things.
Armaan walked towards his TV and picked up an envelope kept on the table. He walked back and gave that envelope to riddhima.
Armaan: open it and see it.
Riddhima opened the envelope and saw there were few photographs in them. Riddhima took out those photographs and saw them one by one. With each photo her sweat started increasing. After she finished seeing those photographs she looked at armaan. Tears started pouring out of her eyes. Armaan who was sitting on the sofa in front of her picked up a glass of water, gave that glass to her. She took that glass and drank water in one go.
IN RAHUL’s CAR
Rahul came and sat in the car with a dejected face. Muskaan guessed it that armaan and riddhima were not here. Now, they had only one place to check. Rahul started driving towards their last destination.
Muskaan: I just hope riddhima is fine.
Rahul: this you should have thought when you were breaking armaan’s rule. Who asked you to go against his decision?
Muskaan: not again Rahul, I am not discussing this again with you. We have already wasted our time in arguing over this. It’s time to think of a plan. What will we say to armaan when we will face him.
Rahul: that department is yours. My work is just to take you there where riddhima is rest how you handle the situation is up to you.
Muskaan: you are being rude.
Rahul: I am being rude? Do you realize if you will continue landing up to save riddhima along with me saying its sheer destiny and not on purpose, it won’t take armaan even a second to realize what is going on. He is not fool to not to join each events. He can add two plus two and come up with the answer.
Muskaan: stop scaring me.
Rahul: I am scaring you? You have no idea what armaan will do if we will continue landing up like this. My only advice to you will be do not disobey armaan, it will keep riddhima on safe side.
Muskaan: You want riddhima should not enjoy her life?
Rahul: when did I say that?
Muskaan: Obeying armaan equals to not to enjoy life. According to him riddhima should not go out with friends, should not talk to boys, should not go out of house etc etc.
Rahul: you guys don’t know anything and it is better if you guys just do as are told.
Muskaan: what do you mean we don’t know anything? Tell me what we don’t know?
Rahul: nothing leave it.
ARMAAN’s FARMHOUSE
Riddhima: Armaan these photographs?
Armaan: Don’t even for a second think that you are alone. I have my men following you everywhere you go. So, in future don’t even think of disobeying me. If you think of disobeying me then do remember that I know what you do minute by minute, it won’t take me long to reach you.
Riddhima nodded her head in agreement. Armaan smiled and stood up. He walked towards the door and before leaving, he turned.
Armaan: I will send you your favourite food here and once you are done, we will then discuss your punishment.
Armaan left the room. Riddhima stared at the door for few seconds before she started searching for something in her bag. Riddhima smiled seeing her phone and started dialing muskaan’s number. When she realized that the call was not connecting she checked her phone. She saw that signals were zero. She cursed her luck.
Riddhima: Last time when I came here my phone was working then why not today? May be Armaan has installed mobile jammer’s here and that is why signals are zero. Now how will I contact muskaan?
Riddhima was pacing in the room when suddenly a woman walked in with a food tray. Before she left she asked riddhima to have the food.
OUTSIDE ARMAAN’s FARMHOUSE
Mukaan: Are you sure riddhima is inside this farmhouse? I mean doesn’t he have another one?
Rahul: Armaan doesn’t own all the properties in the city that we will take many days to find where he has taken riddhima. Like I said earlier, there are three places where he can go and we have already checked two of them. When he is not there then obviously, he’ll be here isn’t it?
Muskaan: Thank you for the sarcasm. Now, what should we do?
Rahul: Do you suffer from partial amnesia?
Muskaan: No why?
Rahul: Didn’t I tell you that, that it’s your department?
Muskaan: I guess we both should go inside and confront armaan.
Rahul: when was the last time you got your brain checked?
Muskaan: Very funny. I think if we will confront armaan then he will not be able to stop us from taking riddhima.
Rahul: you don’t know him so don’t assume things. I’ll go inside. Now, tell me a background story.
INSIDE ARMAAN’s FARMHOUSE
Armaan was working on his laptop when bell rang. Armaan walked towards the door after he kept the laptop on the table. He opened the door and smiled seeing Abhimanyu there. He hugged him and stepped aside to let him enter. Abhimanyu walked towards the sofa and sat down. Armaan too followed him and sat opposite him. He opened a bottle of whiskey and poured two glasses.
Abhimanyu: Is she here?
Armaan: Yes, she is inside in the bedroom.
Abhimanyu: I bet you have scared her haven’t you?
Armaan: I scared her? She scared me (he sipped from his drink). I had to rush after an important meeting. I had to ask the driver to break signals dammit.
Abhimanyu: Don’t worry about that atul bhaiya handled it. Also, Anjali Bhabhi has talked with kirti chachi it’s sorted. You both can stay here for the night and here are the clothes you asked me to bring along (He handed armaan a bag which had clothes for both of them).
Before armaan could say anything bell rang. He looked at Abhimanyu, who shook his head by conveying he didn’t know who it could be. Armaan sighed and stood up. He walked towards the door and opened the door. He saw Rahul was standing there at the door. Armaan was surprised to see Rahul there he raised his eyebrows asking why he was here? Rahul smiled nervously but before he could say anything, he heard abhimanyu’s voice.
Abhimanyu: I thought you wouldn’t come (Both armaan and Rahul looked at Abhimanyu). Do you know how many times I called you? I even left a message for you asking you to come here.
Rahul: I am sorry I was stuck at some work but as soon as I saw your message I directly came here.
Rahul and muskaan were thinking of some background story when suddenly Rahul received a message from Abhimanyu. After they both read the message they smiled as they didn’t need to create a fake background story now. They both thanked their luck and quickly Rahul drove his car inside the farmhouse. He asked muskaan to hide inside his car.
Armaan moved aside to let Rahul come in. He walked towards Abhimanyu and hugged him. They all sat down and armaan poured another glass for Rahul. Rahul thanked him before taking the glass.
Rahul: so what happened? Why did you call me here? (He pretended to know nothing).
Armaan: Riddhima lied to me and went with her friends to some dhaba. The moment I received her photographs I was scared and then I brought her here.
Rahul: hhhmmm Anyway everything is fine now right? I was anyway going in that direction I can drop riddhima home if you want.
Armaan: Drop but why? She and I are staying here for the night. I had already asked Abhimanyu to inform kirti chachi and she would handle shashank uncle.
Rahul was shocked hearing this piece of news. Muskaan would kill armaan if she got to know about his intentions. Above all what would he tell her that he agreed and came back to drop her home? Would she even leave without riddhima?
Abhimanyu: let’s go Rahul. I had come to give him clothes for the night and that task is over.
Rahul: But armaan she has college tomorrow? Let her go to her home. Also, muskaan must be waiting for her?
Armaan: Don’t take her name she always come in between. When will she realize that riddhima has to stay with me? After marriage what will she do? Earlier the better if she gets used to staying without riddhima. Anyway, both of you leave I’ll go and check riddhima.
Rahul now had nothing to say. With a dejected face, he along with Abhimanyu walked out of the house. Since Abhimanyu came in his own car, Rahul did not have to give him an excuse of not going with him. Rahul sat in the car and told muskaan everything. Muskaan was furious with her mother for agreeing with armaan’s condition. Rahul dropped her back home.
Riddhima was sitting on the bed with a book in her hands. She wanted to control her increasing heartbeat and with no phone connectivity, she had no option but to read a book. She thought it was better to revise what was taught in class rather than sitting idle. If she sat idle then that would only increase her already increased heartbeat. She prayed armaan comes back soon and takes her back home. She has started missing muskaan already.
Armaan walked inside the room only to witness a studious riddhima. He smiled seeing her like this. He thought when he would enter the room he would find a nervous and a scared riddhima but she surprised him. When riddhima felt armaan’s presence, she looked at him. Both stared into each other’s eyes.
